The Brief
Build on and enhance the 2006 campaign which aimed to provide consumers with Christmas gift ideas.
Develop an online campaign that supports the ATL and drives users to a microsite which gives users DVD gift recommendations based on defining the recipient’s character.
Deliverables
Mydvdexpert.com Microsite featuring tool that allows users to input some character details of the gift recipient. This then provided them with a selection of recommended DVD titles and supported this with trailers, synopsis and other information.
Clear buy route to major online retailer product pages
Retailer affiliate support. We developed versions of the site branded for specific retailers which were offered via affiliate networks. Also produced a groundbreaking widget which could be used by affiliates as a ‘nanosite’ on their own pages and featured all of the functionality of the full site and drove sales direct to the affiliate retail partners.
Datacapture and ongoing communications via competitions and movie quizzes.
Results
Over 50,000 visitor to the site in Q4.
Affiliate response to the activity has been impressive with many saying how ground breaking the activity is.
